Adriano Galati’s expertise spans a range of research areas, all from a networked systems perspective. His research interests are about mobile and delay tolerant networks, opportunistic networks, ad-hoc networks, mobility models, complex networks and data mining. He has worked on topics from embedded system engineering to internet routing protocols, from mobile network modelling to cloud computing platform design and implementation. He has worked in a variety of roles, from system software engineer to high-level designer and implementer of network platforms and applications.
Before joining Disney Research, Adriano was a Research Fellow at the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Leeds (UK). He was awarded a Ph.D. in 2011 at the University of Nottingham (UK) for his research in Delay Tolerant Networking. He holds an MSc degree in Applied Computing Science from the University of Utrecht (The Netherlands) and an MEng degree in Embedded System Design from the Polytechnic of Milan (Italy). Previous to that, he graduated in Computer Science, Distributed Network Protocols, at the University of Bologna (Italy).
