Rajitha is an Associate Research Scientist at Disney Research, where his main focus is on “Video Analytics”. He analyzes an enormous amount of video for analytical purposes especially in very challenging low light conditions, while audience engages with movies. Generally, he is most interested in creating machine vision systems which can sense and understand the world. He also worked as a Lab Associate at Disney Research in 2012/2013. Before joining Disney Research, he was a Ph.D. student at the Queensland University of Technology in Australia. He also collaborated with scientists/engineers from different institutes and companies in Australia such as CSIRO and AutoCRC. He received his Bachelor of Computer Engineering with First class honors from the University of Peradeniya in Sri Lanka.
