Ye Pan was a Senior Research Associate, in the Virtual Environment and Computer Graphics group at University College London (UCL). She received her PhD in Computer Science from UCL in 2015. She previously graduated from UCL in 2011 with an MRes in Virtual Environments, Imaging and Visualisation, and from Purdue/UESTC in 2010 with a BSc in Communication and Information Engineering. Her research interests include: avatars, humanoid robots, computer human interaction, virtual environments, computer supported cooperative work, computer graphics, social interaction. Her work have consistently published at the top venues in virtual reality and human-computer interaction (IEEE VR/TVCG, ACM SIGCHI, IJHCS). She has been awarded a 25,000 GBP grant, Digital Catapult Researcher in Residence, from EPSRC Digital Economy Theme.
