Yu Zheng received B.E. degrees in both mechanical engineering and computer science and a Ph.D. degree in mechatronics from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China, in 2001 and 2007, respectively, and a M.A. degree in computer science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, USA, in 2011, where he recently completed his Ph.D. degree in computer science.
Between 2007 and 2009, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the Department of Mechanical Engineering, National University of Singapore, Singapore. He was a summer intern in 2010 and 2011 and a Research Associate in 2012 with Disney Research. Yu Zheng returned to Disney Research in January 2014 as a Postdoctoral Researcher.
His current research interests include locomotion generation and control of humanoid robots, robotic grasping and manipulation, and geometric algorithms and their applications in robotics.
